Climate Change has caused havoc in many cities and town. In Bhopal, the summer temperatures break record each year making the lives of certain sub-section of the population unbearable. The city’s history got changed with the Bhopal gas Tragedy in 1984. Since then many climate and human right activists have come forward to make Bhopal an exemplar in environmental activism. Bhopal story is a bit different from most. In the city residents work along side the State Government Officials to push for the climate agenda. The partnership between the State Government and the citizens grew stronger during the COVID19 relief work. This panel will discuss how a citizen-led movement is taking place in Bhopal and what it means for environmental protection. More specifically, the panel will take a deeper look at –

· How are citizen-led movements created to protect our environment?

· What are the ways that the leaders of the movement are educating the masses?

· What should the role of the governments be to promote eco-activism?

· Reflections on school-education and textbooks on eco-activism.
